Southern Poverty Law Center: Alabama Voting Rights Report
Throughout its history, Alabama has created and enforced numerous obstacles to registering to vote, remaining an “active” voter, casting a ballot, and having that ballot counted, which disproportionately target and impacts its Black residents.
This report was entered into the congressional record to support the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act.
